With a strong focus on education, health, and the preservation of Singapore’s Chinese culture, the foundation seeks to nurture future-ready individuals and strengthen cultural heritage.

Our Focus

Education for
Social Mobility

  • While there are multiple funders in the ecosystem, gaps remain in scaling proven models and supporting children and youth from lower-income backgrounds.

We aim to address these gaps by scaling solutions that expand opportunity, strengthen resilience, and support every child’s potential to thrive.

  • Wee Foundation strives to strengthen holistic education for children and youth from lower-income families, helping to improve social mobility.

Wee Foundation will contribute catalytic funding to scale proven solutions that align with and complement government schemes, but also look to invest in promising initiatives that address emerging or underserved needs.

Healthcare for
Vulnerable Communities

  • As Singapore shifts towards upstream community-based care, more investment is needed in preventative care to enhance care coordination across the health and social sectors.

  • Wee Foundation is on the lookout for person-centred community health programmes that strengthen continuity of care from hospitals into the community.

This will amplify the foundation’s existing work on uplifting nurses via the SingHealth Wee Foundation Nursing Academic Fund, strengthening preventive health efforts and ensuring that quality care continues beyond our hospitals.

Singapore Chinese Culture for the Next Generation of Leaders

  • Although many cultural groups actively engage in preserving and promoting Singapore Chinese culture within a multicultural framework directly or indirectly, collaboration across different communities and the encouragement of novel, inclusive cultural expressions remain limited.

  • Wee Foundation recognises that there are passionate individuals and ground up groups who work tirelessly to preserve and promote Singapore Chinese culture.

We look forward to supporting these champions to conserve Singapore Chinese culture.
